General Information
Ramblers Ireland will accept boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 13. The day begins at 9:30 and finishes at 3:00. Each ramblers group will consist of no more than 22 children accompanied by 2 Leaders. All of of our leaders are either qualified teachers or, teachers in training. Each Leader has successfully completed a one day training course and has been garda vetted. We use public transport for our journeys. As groups head off to different locations each day. Although we are based in the carpark in Willow Park School, the drop off and collection points may differ from day to day. For example, if we are using the DART we would use Booterstown Dart Station or the car park in The Radisson St Helens if we were taking a bus on the Stillorgan Road. For communication purposes, all parents/guardians are included in a WhatsApp Group. Destinations for each day are posted the evening before along with the location of the dropoff and pickup. We also encourage our Leaders to to keep the group updated with news, photos of the days activities. To ensure that there is no hanging around for the parents, the group's arrival time at the pickup location will be posted on the chat too. We try and keep the arrival time as close as possible to 3:00 but, because we are using public transport, there may be a delay of up to 30 minutes in our arrival time.
